Hi Mom!
Howdy yall, so this week was way interesting, To start there was a Covid scare ?! Im ok though! I was in contact with someone who was in contact with someone who got covid. Whew.
Because of the Covid scare everyone in my apartment had to be quarentined for three days (so they could test the missionaries who got in contact with us). Which was alright because then we could consentrate on sending out ads for President Nelson’s message of gratitiude for all three days. Which ks absolutely awesome. Within a few days facebook has boomed with #givethanks.
I am so greatful for a living prophet who can help guide and direct us in these crazy times! I know that we all can and are being missionaries when we simply post what we are greatful for. I know this because these are posts of goodess and light. Which is something so needed right now. Are lighting up the darkness amd hate that has become so prevelent in social media today. ⚠️INCOMING CHALLENGE⚠️ I challenge yall to take up the #givethanks social media post because it truely is an inspired message. I promise that as you do so not only will you be blessing the internet with kindess but you will be blessed yourselves. You will find that as you do this you will be happier!
⚠️Service Project alert!⚠️ Alrighty so quarentine was a blessing in disgise. Because while we here sending out the President Nelson message to all of our formers a former actually reached out and was in need of service. So we abliged! They had a branch fall in their back yard so we cleaned it up for them! The paid us in pizza which was very much apprieciated. ⚠️Service Alert 2.0!⚠️ Thats right we had 2 service projects! This one we just helped a member move wich is pretty standard. But this one was interesting because it was the first time we recieved money for our service, HOWEVER, this was because the member wanted to feed us but because of covid they couldnt so he just gave us money to buy Chick-fil-a! (And I got to say Chick-fil-a has some legendary spicy chicken tenders ?)
⚠️Spiritual Moment!⚠️ So I dont have a scripture today but I do want to share my first experience where I excersized my priesthood! So today (monday the 23rd). My companion and I where at a recent converts home and our last visit he asked us to dedicate his camper. We of course agreed but had to figure out if we actually could dedicate a camper. And yea we can. So thats what I did today! It was a really neat experience. But I do have to say when he first asked us to I was hesitant. I was scared to so I told my companion he should do it. HOWEVER, we had a member lesson the day before where the member taught us how to be awesome missionaries. (I’ll have to share with yall what he taught later because it was pretty cool) And it got me thinking so today (like a litterally seconds before) I felt promted to give the blessing. And WOW am I glad I did. It was the coolest thing I have done on my mission so far! I was akward of course but that is normal for a first timer. Amd homestly it didnt matter because the spirit was there. I felt it. Amd i loved it.
