Hi Mom!
This is a hi coming from both of your 20 year old twin boys! Owen made it here safely and we are about to kill it as a couple of stud missionaries!
So far we have just had a P-Day, so next week will be a more full report. But this week was still interesting. Owen had his first member council. Where we ate el pastor and lengua (tounge 👅) tacos! It was delicious and Owen had a lot of really good thoughts to share.we also started our birthday at my District Leader’s house where he made breakfast and gave me a hair cut. Then we went AMD played sand volleyball with a bunch if other missionaries. Then went bowling. All and all it was a pretty sweet 20th birthday. Also! Mom, I got my tres leches cake!
This week Elder Bangerter and I had officially stopped teaching most of our teaching pool. At first this feels like a major drop in our motivation. However, it takes a lot of faith to stop teaching someone. It took a lot of faith to find them, so as a missionary you have put a lot of energy into these people. So when you stop teaching them, but stop teaching them in faith, then you are putting them in Gods hands. I dont know what will happen to them in the future. But I do know that it’s not a perfect knowledge and as long as I am pressing forward in faith miracles will come.
Sorry this is such a short post, I’ll definately put a lot more into next week since it will be my last one here in North Carolina!!
Till next time,
Elder Service
