Hi Mom!
Alright so this week was really spirit filled. We haven’t had a lot of success with lessons with investigators. However, we have kinda had enough of the slowness so we are going to change up our finding tactics a little so we can potentially find more people. Like for example, this week I went on exchanges with my district leader and we went street contacting. And of course my first street contacting was awkward. We maybe talked with 5 people with one real conversation. But for me that was HUGE! I literally walked up to this guy and his dog and asked if his dog was a chow. And he said yes, so I proceeded to say my grandma has a one and it struck a conversation. I didn’t connect it to the gospel, again ?♂️, but I’m learning. I’m choosing to keep apositive attitude about it because that’s all I really have control over.
⚠️Weather Update⚠️ It rained for what felt like three days straight! I took some photos of the area around our apartment. But in these photos the rain wasnt even at its stongest yet. So that was fun. Im just glad we had the car this week!

⚠️Service Announcement⚠️ We didn’t have an organized service project but because of the rain a lot of leaves where covering our favorite walkway so we cleaned it up when we went on a walk.
What else…. SPIRITUAL THOUGHT! So this week, as an Elders Quorum (all the elders in the apartment) We watched a devotional with Elder Bednar. He talked about some interesting patterns of revelation from the Holy Ghost. One of them being “Not knowing beforehand what it being” in that in the moment it you may not have consciously known it was the spirit prompting you. But afterwards your like “woah that was cool”. Like while he was talking I was prompted to write something down that I felt was an interesting thought only to have Elder Bednar touch on it a few minutes later. To me that was the spirit confirming the truthfulness of not knowing beforehand that it was the spirit.
I want to leave with you all an invitation that my companion and I really loved extending this week and it goes along really well with the spirit of thanksgiving. In that, for your next personal prayer rather than praying for blessings, pray instead for all the things you are grateful for. I tried this once this week after I noticed my prayers were becoming repetitive. And it was one of the most pure spiritual experiences I have ever had. I promise you too will feel something different when you pray for what you are thankful for rather than focusing on what you want. And I leave this things with you in the name of Jesus Chris, amen.
