Hi mom!
So this week was fun! We started off kinda slow, however, this wednesday my district did an ’emergency’ fast. We fasted for a couple of things. Me personally, I prayed for inspiration on how I can best serve in Fort Mill.
AND BOY WAS I BLESSED WITH INSPIRATION!!!
This last Friday I finally got the motivation to start filming for “Lamp Light” a series that my companion are going to pick a word (like repentance) and define it (in a fun way of course) using scriptures and our own testimonies.
Next, while we were thinking of ways to help teach an older new member about temples and recieving the priesthood we came up with “index card booklet lessons” where we create spark notes of lessons on note cards and then give it to this member to better help him refer back to it. Since he is older it is harder for him to remember things. But he loves taking notes so this was a hit with him! In fact he loved them so much he even opened up to us more about what is going on in his life, which may lead to a potential new person for us to teach and help later on!!!
To end our fast we where ultra blessed by a member in our ward who loves to feed us pizza so to break our fast we each had our own pizzas! (Ps. That is the best way to end a fast, I basically ate the whole thing.)
⚠️Spiritual Thought⚠️
I drive by this sign out front of an auto repair shop. And if you can’t read it it says;
“No matter the circumstances trust god he loves you”
I loved this the first time I read it. In fact one of the first times I read it was during that time where I was spiritually drained. I had been feeling alone. And honestly a huge blessing of being out here in the southern bible belt of america I see signs like this all the time. This one was special though, this one deserved a photo because it touched my heart so profoundly. I just want to leave you all with a promise, something that I have learned this week is that God is on our side. He wants us to succeed, so I promise that as you turn to him in prayer he will bless you.
Till next time…
