Hi Mom!
I hope you aren’t stressing too much over your homework! Love you! Also happy fathers day mí padre! Te amo!
Well it was transfer news this last Sunday. I’m staying in Matthew’s! Hurray! Anyway, I am really glad I’m staying here because Elder Bangerter and I are really grinding over here and it would really be a shame if we had to disrupt it.
This week was ok, not gonna lie it was a bit tough. We didn’t find any body new to teach since we were busy making a facebook video. Bit the video is gonna be awesome. We got the youth in our ward to participate which is always a good thing. It’s just so interesting how much missionary work has changed. Like really weird. An hour that you would spend back then is not an hour you would spend today. Take finding for an example. Back then you could spend an entire day knocking on doors 100 doors. While today you could reach 100 people in less than an hour with just one social media post! Crazy stuff for sure.
Anyway we were able to teach one of our friends and her daughter. Whom they both are so awesome! The daughter has already read a bit of the book of mormon and is very nice and respectful while we teach. We have high Hope’s for her.
For our district activity this week we got together and ate some taco bell then played some disc golf. This course was kinda nuts. Towards the end of the front nine was a river between the launch pad and the basket…. I lost a disc… Anyway! I also caught a couple of critters along the way too!
Doctrine and Covenants 11: 12-13
“And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit which leadeth to do good—yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind, which shall fill your soul with joy;”
This week I have had to really focus on the voice of the spirit. This scripture has been a huge help in that. Hope you guys like it too!
Till next time,
Elder Service
P.S. we were challenged this week to make a “Book of Mormon” ad. So Elder Bangerter came up with the best one. Haha, it’s supposed to be funny but we aren’t too sure how well the humor translates to spanish.
