Hi Mom!
Lets see if I can write this one quick. I need to go to bed in 30 minutes. And I still have a thing or two to before I actually turn in. So sorry dad for all the spelling errors. You have at least 20 months to forgive me. ?
So let’s start with everything that has happened in these photos. First let’s talk about the fact that everyone in South Carolina loves to supe up their cars and this one is no exception. Had a good laugh driving home from a district council when we saw that one.
Next is the slug on my companions shoe. Funny story is we are at a recent converts home doing an zoom sacrament meeting with him. When we bowed our heads to pray my companion notices this little guy on his shoe. I thought it was hilarious so I took a photo.
Next is the one trip wonders! When you go shopping with Elders we only take one trip.
⚠️SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT⚠️
So this week we had some respomses to a local service post we had made on facebook. So this week we helped a single mother of two young daughters build a trampoline just in time for Christmas. (Also don’t let my coat fool you on the weather. Right now it is a warm 60 degrees here in Fort Mill South Carolina ??)
?Christmas? is right around the corner and I wanted to share my favorite part about Christmas. I love how, even if throughout the year you hardly ever get together with family or friends, Christmas is the time of year to slow down and really love those around you. I for one am going to be experiencing my first Christmas away from home. However that doesn’t and won’t stop me from connectimg with those I love. Whether it is through zoom or in person, I am so grateful for the opportunity to dedicate a time of the year especially to being with family.
?Quick spiritual thought?
I don’t have a scripture or an eloquent letter to write to yall. However, I do know that we have a God who is our loving Father in Heaven. Who has made a plan for all of us to come to this earth to experience life! I know that the best way for me to show my love back to him is by serving others. Which in all honesty is my sole reason for being out here on a mission. For I know “that if ye are in the service of your fellow being ye are only in the service of your god.” Focusing on others and serving them has been the best parts of my mission so far. Love you all amd hope you all have a happy and merry Christmas!
Till next time,
Elder Service
