Hi Mom!
Transfers officially happened. I am now in Statesville, North Carolina. My district actually encompasses Tennessee so I am hoping to to go there on a p-day. Then I would have 3 states in my one district. I am also in another 4 elder apartment. In addition, my companion Elder Shaw and I are basically “restarting” this area, so we are starting from scratch. And let me tell you after being out here for two transfers Facebook finding is tough!!! Luckily, we have the other two Elders here to help us find but we literally have no people to teach at the moment so that’s what we are gonna work on first.
My apartment is pretty sweet. We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Unfortunately we didn’t have desks or desk chairs so we had to call the brother who is in charge of that and he’s gonna get us those things as soon as possible.
These first few days have been rough but that is mostly because of how difficult starting from scratch is. But also we are both super young missionaries. I have only been in the mission a week more than my comp. But here’s the plus side, we both are desperate to teach people. And from what I have heard about this area it should be pretty awesome.
Aside from that I look forward to talking with y’all tonight at 9. Love you!
Till next time,
Elder Service
PS. Quick run down on photos: So the ones without proselytizing clothes is us on p-day playing basketball at the church and all around having a good time. The one with us in proselytizing clothes was for a Facebook service post which those have been awesome. I post something like once or twice a month asking if anyone needs help with anything and this time we had so many it literally took up my whole day trying to contact them back so hopefully we can turn those into lessons! Also that last one with with the burning tie is a missionary tradition. That missionary, Elder Cordray just hit his 6th month on the mission so he had to burn a tie.
